Black Widow and Bees 072212

We woke up to find this Black Widow hanging from a tall bit of grass in front of my porch, and were struck by the crazy bee activity on my biggest Russian Sage plant. I think this weekend I will spend some time in the morning light with a tripod to watch the bees.

And no, our little poisonous friend did not live long after these shots.
