What a blast! It’s been a while since I’ve seen a hard show, and it was great to catch up with Nick Sullivan from Pena again, and catch two other bands I had never seen before. This was a lot of fun. Rick Myers and the owner of Noa Noa set up this cupping, and invited the roaster to come in and educate the masses a bit about four different coffees he specializes in, and some different techniques and equipment. As a HUGE espresso fan, it was so interesting to find some brewed roasts I actually like, and it was fascinating to taste everything that was going on with the Rwanda.

What an unbelievable show. Blown away by Tommy’s groove, amazed once again by Dragon’s set, and then to see the best there is, Matt Darey, at work? Just awesome. Once again, Beta could not have been nicer or more accommodating to me. Plenty of access, shooting from the go-go boxes, and one hell of a club. Thanks to Tommy and Catherine for making it happen.
